President William Ruto has broken his silence in tragic killing of Makadara’s principal magistrate Monica Kivuti terming the circumstances that led to her death as totally unacceptable.
Kivuti was shot in the chest and pelvic area by Chief Inspector Samson Kipchirchir Kipruto, the OCS of Londiani police station, during a court session and was died on Saturday.
While condemning the shooting President Ruto has said that under no circumstances should police officers abandon their essential obligation of maintaining law and order to become threats to the safety and security of the people.
According to Ruto, police confrontation, threats and attacks of any form against judicial officers are unacceptable, criminal and an affront to the rule of law.

This, as he mourned Kivuti as a firm and hardworking judicial professional who served Kenyans with dedication and had more to offer .
”We have lost a firm and hardworking judicial professional who served Kenyans with dedication. She still had a lot to offer to our country.” Ruto mourned.
He has also urged the police to ensure the safety of all judicial officers as and when they are discharging their duties.
”I ask the police to ensure the safety of our judicial officers at all times as they discharge their duties.” The headof state stated.
