Kalonzo defends Odinga criticisms against state despite quest for AU job

Azimio Co principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa have defended Raila Odinga’s criticism over the govt response to the ongoing flooding crisis in the country  despite his AU bid being sponsored by the state.

Speaking in Mombasa, Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka has said Odinga bid for the continental job does not overrule his opposition role adding that Odinga will still keep the government’s checks and balances.

“We have heard Kenya Kwanza leaders castigating Odinga for what he said in Mukuru Kwa Reuben. Odinga is angling for the AUC chairmanship, I don’t know if Kenya Kwanza leaders thought they could compromise him because of his quest,” Kalonzo said.

Adding his voice to the matter, DAP Party Leader Eugene Wamalwa noted that Odinag represents voice of the voiceless.

“Our message to Kenya Kwanza is, stop blackmailing Raila Odinga over AUC Chairmanship for calling you out on corruption and incompetence, and declare the current flood crisis a national disaster! Azimio will not be gagged and will remain the Voice of the voiceless, silent, suffering, majority of Kenyans,” Wamalwa said..

Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna alarmed that the govt is playing mischief on the support for Odinga’s Africa Union commision job

Raila’s unexpected criticism of Ruto’s administration attracted responses from Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders and supporters. Some asked the president to reconsider supporting the former prime minister in the African Union Commission chairmanship position.
