A Kisumu court has sentenced a middle aged man for twenty years in prison for defiling a 12-year old boy in 2016.
Law courts Principal Magistrate Hon. Nyigei has on Wednesday convicted and sentenced the man after he was found to have defiled the minor in his house.
While testifying to the court the victim narrated to the court how the accused person told him to take the ball to his house where he showed him a first aid book and told him to bend as shown in the book and defiled him.
The Magistrate in sentencing noted that the accused was in a position of trust and authority as relates to the complainant whom he was coaching and therefore more was expected from him.
She added that It was unfortunate that the accused person has been coaching children and he has abused that position by the commission of the offence herein.
The court also found that 8 witnesses accounts by the Prosecution through Linda Nzioka proved the case beyond reasonable doubt.
