Kenya Morans begin their FIBA AfroBasket qualifier campaign on Friday in Tunisia

The Kenya national men’s basketball team is in Tunisia ahead of the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket qualifiers games that kickoff on Friday.

Coach Cliff Owuor named the twelve players who will do the job in Tunisia where they will face the hosts, Angola and Guinea.

The players will include Captain Victor Bosire who plays for the Equity Bank Dumas assisted by Desmond Owili who does his trade in Australia. Others are ⁠Joel Awich ( France), ⁠Derrick Ogechi ( USA), ⁠Griffin Ligare ,⁠Faheem Juma,Ariel Ortega,Albert Odero, Ariel Okal and ⁠Fidel Okoth all from Nairobi City Thunder.

⁠Bramwell Muchina from Pazi, Tanzania and Eugene Adera from Kenya Ports Authority KPA also got the callup.

Group ‘A’ of the qualifiers has South Sudan, DR Congo while group ‘B’ consists of Cape Verde, Nigeria and Uganda.

Senegal are in pool C alongside Cameroon and fast-rising Rwanda while group D has Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Central Africa and Madagascar.
