Manchester City now focus on Villa after the 3-3 draw dissapoitment against Spurs

Manchester City will be without Rodri and Jack Grealish in their midweek meeting with Aston Villa.

The two midfielders picked up their fifth bookings of the season during Sunday’s enthralling 3-3 draw against Tottenham .

The suspensions will come as a blow to Pep Guardiola‘s side given Villa’s home form so far this season, and the champions head into the clash trailing Arsenal by three points at the top of the table.

Rodri – who has already served a three-match suspension this season – was booked for a cynical foul on Tottenham defender Pedro Porro.

Meanwhile, Jack Grealish saw yellow for kicking the ball away during a pause in play, meaning he will miss a reunion with his former club.

Pep will however have Jeremy Doku who will be expected to put in hard work for ninety minutes at Villa Park.

City will also have to put behind the three all draw disappointment that ensured they went three matches with draws. City were also fuming at the referee after blowing for a foul when Grealish was away on goal for the winner.

The Incident could also see Earling Halaand face an FA inquiry after the rant against referee Simon Hooper.

City Manager restrained himself in criticizing Hooper for fear of being penalized but was not short of a comment.

“It surprised me for the fact that he went to whistle when Erling went down, but after he stood back up and made the pass, the referee made the gesture to play on. But then when the ball goes to Jack, then came the whistle.” He said.

City now sit third on the log three points off the league leaders Arsenal and one adrift second placed Liverpool.
