Kenya Airways Resumes Flights To Bangkok, Thailand

Kenya Airways has announced the resumption of flights to Bangkok starting November 21st 2023.

In a statement on Tuesday, the carrier said the route re-opening comes with five weekly flights from Nairobi.

The national carrier says that the resumption of flights to Bangkok will expand its current network to 42 destinations.

KQ Chief Commercial and Custom Officer Julius Thai Said This initiative underscores KQs proactive approach in expanding international routes, urging its passengers to embrace new and enriching travel experiences.

“This is to provide travellers from Africa with convenient connections via Nairobi to the popular tourist destination in Thailand,” said Julius Thairu, KQ’s chief commercial and customer officer.

The flights will operate using the Boeing 787-8 aircraft, facilitating global connectivity through Nairobi. From Bangkok, the flights will continue to Guangzhou, P R China.

The route was launched in 2003 and suspended in 2020 a period that also saw the airline suspend the Djibouti, Mogadishu and Khartoum flights.

KQ hopes to bank on the re-opening of the Nairobi-Bangkok route to woo more travelers during the Christmas period.
