Religious leaders criticize the court over its ruling on homosexuals

The church  clergy association of kenya has criticized  the court ruling that allowed the National Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission to register as a non-governmental organization. 

Speaking to the press, the church leaders say that the Supreme Court ruling is destructive to life and the family as it sets the platform for activism and pressure to further recognize homosexuality.

The leaders say The ruling is unconstitutional, unwelcome, and should be withdrawn adding that the Supreme Court’s determination contradicts the basic values of the people of Kenya as enshrined in the Constitution.

They condemn homosexual ideologies saying they are not only “intrinsically immoral” but they also go against the natural law.

The members also called on the government to safeguard and protect Kenyans from LGBTQ+ ideology.

The church leaders also say that the recent de-registration of churches was not in accordance with the rule of law ,claiming  that the churches were not given a fair hearing.
