Pastor Ezekiel Odero has been given a go ahead to conduct his services from his church after he obtained an order from the High Court suspending the directive of the Registrar of Societies that deregistered his Church.
Odero filed a new application challenging the Mary Nyariki order in which the judge says the latest directive seeks to interrogate whether the process leading to deregistration was consistent with the law and whether it was legal and fair to Odero.
In his ruling Justice Jairus Ngaah says the fresh application has averted his discretion to grant the applicant his prayers .
Odero is now free to host and conduct his teachings from his New Life Prayer Center and Church, after suspending his service to online meetings last weekend.
Other churches under the lock and key include Good News International Ministries that is owned by Pastor Paul Mackenzie who is currently in detention, the Theophilus Church and Kings Outreach Church.
Registrar of Societies, Chairman, Maria Nyariki said the wa informed by the investigation into allegations of money laundering and cult-related activities associated with the church
This comes on the back Of the Shakahola Cult probe led by Preacher Paul Mackenzie that has so far claimed the lives of over 400 people and the John Pesa’s church in Kisumu which chained its congregants.
