Government compensates Londiani accident victims

The government has compensated 53 families who lost their loved ones in the Londiani accident. 

The families of the victims approximately received Ksh90,000 each while 20 victims who survived the June 30 road carnage were given Ksh60,000 each.

The County Secretary of the Kericho County Government, Wesley Bo Has encouraged the families to accept the small token ,assuring them that the government would continue addressing their plight. 

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua initiated a fund drive to offer assistance and relief to the affected families and victims. 

The DP raised over Ksh 13 million during the memorial service of over 52 victims who passed away in the accident, held on July 4 in Kericho. 

In other developments, the driver of the truck driver, a Rwandese, was arraigned at the Molo Law Courts on Wednesday, July 19th. 

The driver faced 90 charges, including dangerous driving and the destruction of 10 vehicles.
