National Assembly Speaker Wetangula
The 20th National Prayer Breakfast has been rescheduled to 7th of June 2023.
The Prayer had initially been scheduled to take place on 31st of May.
In a statement on Tuesday, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula said the change was occasioned by factors beyond control.
Wetangula regretted the changes and apologized to Kenyans for the inconvenience caused.
“I wish to Notify the Members of Parliament of Kenya, members of the press, and the general public that the 20th annual National Prayer Breakfast which had been initially scheduled for Wednesday, 31st May 2023 has now been rescheduled to Wednesday, 7th June 2023. The venue shall be Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi,” Wetang’ula stated.
The 7th of June Prayer Breakfast is themed ‘Reconciliation with God and with Man’.
The event will graced by more than 2,500 guests.
The purpose of the National Prayer Breakfast is to meet, engage, interact and together pray for the nation.
The event is normally organised under the offices of the Speakers of the National Assembly and the speaker of the Senate.
Last year’s prayer breakfast was presided over by the former President Uhuru Kenyatta at the same venue under the theme ‘Transitions”.
