Real Madrid continued their champions league form with a 2-0 win over English side Chelsea at the Stamford bridge.
Rodrygo scored twice in the second half to inflict the damage on Frank Lampard side who have now not won any game in the last four in all competitions.
The defeat means Real Madrid walk into the semi finals with a 4-0 aggregate win following their 2-0 win in Spain a week ago.
Chelsea started the game well but will blame themselves after failing to take their chances of getting the first goal that could have turned the tie close to their favor.
Kante had Chelsea’s best opportunities while Cucurella and substitute Mykhailo Mudryk also failed to cash in on good positions.
Lampard said that his players should have taken the chances to have any hope of stunning the defending champions.
“We were playing world-class opposition there and we were, for me, the better team and had chances” he added.
Chelsea are currently languishing in 11th place in the Premier League and they will not be in the Champions League next season.
Real Madrid will now face either Manchester City or Bayern Munich in one of the last four ties.
In Naples AC Milan pulled a surprise after defending with they had to draw 1-1 with Napoli and win 2-1 on aggregate .
Olivier Giroud made up for a missed penalty when he scored in open play to hand the Milan side advantage. Milan were heading to another one nil victory but Victor Osimhen scored in added time but was too late for Napoli.
AC Milan will play either their local rivals Inter Milan or Benfica in the other semi final.
