CAK Director-General Ezra Chiloba was Today forced to flee after a group of rowdy youths disrupted his press briefing.
The CA Director General was officiating a High-Level Roundtable event which marked World Consumer Rights Day at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Sports Complex.
sources revealed that the youths stormed the catering centre and took away all the food meant for organizers and guests.
Armed with placards and chanting, the rowdy youth poured into the streets of Kisumu. The youth were protesting the high cost of living in readiness for the Monday, March 20 mass action called for by the Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
“We owe no one an apology. We have a right to picket and therefore we say, Ruto must go. On Monday, March 20, all of us are going to Nairobi and going to tell Ruto to get out of State House,” he stated.
“We do not want any kind of violence or bloodshed. It is going to be peaceful. We are only doing this because it is the only alternative that we have.
Leaders from Kisumu County had affirmed that they would demonstrate on Wednesday and Friday in honor of Raila’s call for mass action.
