Dark cloud over OldTrafford as players report to training after a 7-0 thrashing

Erik ten Hag reported to the Manchester United training ground at 7am after his team went down 7-0 against Liverpool on Sunday in the Premier League.

A day after United suffered their biggest-ever Premier League defeat against Liverpool, manager Ten Hag reached the club’s training facilities early to scrutinise the humiliating result,

The players reported at 9am as usual but with expectation of hair dryer talk from the manager .

This is contrary to former manager  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who did afford his then-squad a day off after they were battered 5-0 by Liverpool back in October 2021.

United conceded seven without reply from Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo netting a brace each while Roberto Firmino the seventh.

Ex-Manchester United captain Gary Neville did not hold back after watching his former side torn apart by a devastating Liverpool team.

Neville tore into captain Bruno Fernandes for individual criticism. “The second half was an absolute disgrace,” he said .

“That wasn’t a captain’s performance from a Manchester United player and I am sure Erik ten Hag will deal with that.” He added.

Manchester United will now focus on the Europa league last 16 first leg clash with real Betis on Thursday at Old Trafford.
