1,244,188 Form 1 students across the country are expected to join Secondary schools today ,Monday the 6th of february 2023
The admission process is expected to last the whole of this week, as instructed by the ministry.
President William Ruto on Sunday said the government had disbursed Sh36 billion capitation and distributed books to schools.
“We have released about Sh36 billion to ensure that all our children get everything in school, books, teachers and all things that are needed for learning,” Ruto said.
The funds sent to the school are to be used as a capitation for every learner admitted to the school.
On Friday, Early Learning and Basic Education PS Belio Kipsang confirmed schools have already received the books.
“As you report, you’ll find books in school. We shall ensure that in the shortest time possible, your school fees will be released,” Kipsang said.
