President Wiliam Ruto has commended the leadership and the entire law enforcement for the consistency in which they’ve pursued the continuous and incremental development of prosecutorial discipline.
Speaking in Mombasa during the Africa prosecutors association conference 2023 President William Ruto said Prosecutors are the gatekeepers of the Criminal Justice System and They must enhance the credibility of the institution by fiercely asserting their independence, consistently demonstrating fairness and being guided by the law.
Ruto said the Government will support the Criminal Justice System to ensure it’s not weaponized for political reasons And Every Kenyan citizen is entitled to fair treatment by all public institutions.
The director of public prosecution Noordin Haji said embracing constitutionalism and the rule of law has secured the nation from criminal threats by improving and growing confidence in the criminal justice system.
The DPP said the commision has created A training institute to harness proactive ,innovative and preventive strategies that reflect today’s evolving crime landscape as well as the need to safeguard human rights.
