ACK Arch-Bishop Jackson Ole Sapit is now requesting the government to consider religious leaders in top public institutions.
Speaking to the press on Wednesday, Sapit said the men of the cloth have set a profound track record to be accorded top positions in the country.
He also reiterated, the religious’ leaders consistent commitment in serving their congregants.
‘Even religious leaders, if appointed will work and the public will have confidence that someone in a public office is doing diligent work.’
Sapit also implored those appointed in higher ranks to serve diligently as the outgoing commissioners of IEBC.
On Tuesday, Archbishop Eliud Wabukala’s term as Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission chairperson ended.
Wabukala was appointed to the position on January 18, 2017, via a gazette notice by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.
While bidding him farewell, EACC CEO Twalib Mbarak lauded him for his contribution to the Commission, wishing him God’s blessings in his future endeavours.
“On behalf of the commissioner, executives management and staff of EACC. I thank the outgoing chairperson for the focused and steady leadership that he provided to the Commission in the last six years,” Twalib said.
