Preparations to welcome President William Ruto in the Nyanza region counties are in advanced stages ahead of the visit starting tomorrow.
Through his spokesperson Hussein Mohammed, President Ruto visit to the region is meant to offer solutions of affordable housing and create a platform to thriving business as he inspects the competition of Homa Bay Municipal market in Homabay.
Speaking to the press this evening, Homabay County governor Glady Wanga underscores that President Ruto second visit in her county is on a development agenda
“The president will visit the county on Friday to launch the construction of affordable houses. We received information about his coming,” Lilan said.
Last November, government officials including Lands and Housing CS Zakariah Njeru and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga handed over the construction site located at Makongeni estate to a contractor.
National Housing Corporation officials will undertake the construction of affordable houses in Homa Bay.
President Ruto will launch 5,000 Affordable Housing Units and hold discussion on agricultural and infrastructure interventions, as well as preside over the inauguration of the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology.
