DTB opens its 67th branch at Sarit Centre

Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) has opened its 67th branch at Sarit Centre in Westlands, Nairobi.

This comes after it opened two more branches in November at Greenspan Mall and Likoni Mall in Nairobi and Mombasa respectively.

DTB Group CEO Nasim Devji says the new branch will enhance banking convenience for retail and business customers.

In 2022 alone, DTB has opened six-new branches across the country and it plans to add more branches in 2023, as the lender seeks to widen its physical presence.

“This new branch will enhance banking convenience for retail and business customers due to extended operating hours that will see the branch remain open until 8 p.m. on weekdays and remain accessible on Sundays and public holidays,” said Davji.

“Through its agile digital platforms, the bank has been able to have the majority of the bank’s transactions done through mobile transactions. Additionally, Kshs 3.5 billion is geared to be invested in digital transformation in 2022-2024, with Kshs 2.4 billion already invested in 2018-2021.”

The lender is also strengthening its online channels such as DTB 24/7 mobile banking app, online banking and USSD options.

The new outlets come at a time when a majority of financial institutions are slowing expansion plans to offer more digital services.
