Meru MCA’s debate motion to impeach governor Mwangaza

Meru county assembly members are debating the motion to impeach Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza.

The MCA’s are seeking to oust Mwangaza for alleged gross misconduct, gross violation of the constitution and abuse of authority.

While citing evidence, Abogeta MCA, who is also the Minority leader. Dennis Kiogora stated that multimedia evidence has also been presented to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption commission.

This comes as 68 out of 69 MCAs have signed the petition.

This has emerged even as the House through an advertisement invited for views from the public on the impending impeachment motion.

The public participation is a result of a motion filed by a Meru resident, Salesio Thuranira, seeking to have her ousted for alleged abuse of authority and gross misconduct.
