President William Ruto on Tuesday chaired the second Cabinet meeting at State House Nairobi.
The meeting considered a number of policy interventions among them; the state of national security, state of public health, and the Ebola outbreak in the region.
Other key discussions revolved around the economy with a focus on access to credit through the administration’s transformative plan to foster financial inclusion by the establishment of the hustlers’ fund.
The cabinet also spoke about the security of Kenya’s territorial waters as well as the categorization of Kenyan waters in the Indian ocean.
It further discussed how to upscale security, a move that saw the reorganization of Nairobi county security command and deployment of additional specialized police units.
On matters of economy and the hustlers fund, the meeting approved the legal and institutional framework to anchor establishment of the fund.
