Manchester United leadership says it is considering its response after the full facts of the Ronaldo interview have been established.
In an official statement the club said it is focused on preparing for the second half of the season but will respond to the claims made by Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has accused the club of betraying him during his second spell at Old Trafford.
He also said he has no respect for Manager Erik ten Hag because the manager does not respect him.
Ronaldo further said some persons in the club are pushing him to leave adding that there is nothing new in the club from the time he left until his return.
Ronaldo had asked to be released before the season began but the club was hesitant but recently they were all indications that he is free to leave on a free transfer.
It remains to be seen what action the club will take after the world cup.
Ronaldo is currently leading Portugal in the FIFA World cup that kicks off this Sunday.
