President Ruto presides over swearing in of cabinet secretaries

President William Ruto has presided over the swearing in of the cabinet secretaries, whose appointments were approved by the National Assembly vetting committee.

The ceremony has taken place at statehouse Nairobi.

This comes as the National Assembly approved all the Cabinet Secretary nominees, including Peninah Malonza of the Tourism docket who had been rejected by the vetting committee.

Meanwhile, head of public service Joseph Kinyua has also handed over the mantle to his successor Felix Koskei who will also be the State House Chief of Staff.

Speaking at the event, the President vowed to support the cabinet secretaries, urging them that failure is not an option in his administration.

The head of state further stated the need to adhere to the constitution, their pledge to serve the people and advice the head of state as the guiding principle of their tenure in office.

According tot the president, service to the people is his minimum expectation for his Cabinet secretaries

The people of Kenya have elected their representatives, i expect that we are going to work together in a respective manner as leaders” the president said.
