President Ruto Nominates Cabinet Secretaries

President William Ruto has appointed his cabinet after an indoor meeting with former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s cabinet earlier today.

At the same time,  Ruto has appointed ANC party  leader Musalia Mudavadi to be the prime cabinet secretary and will oversee all the operations of ministries.

Ruto appointed Prof Kithure Kindiki as the Interior Minister taking from Fred Matiangi

Professor Njuguna Ndung’u, who served as Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya has been appointed Cabinet Secretary for Treasury taking from Ukur Yatan.

President Ruto has named Ababu Namwamba as the CS for youth affairs and sports. 

Alfred Mutua nominated to the Foreign and Diaspora Affairs ministry. Former legislator Moses Kuria as Trade, Investment and Industry minister. Rebecca Miano EAC, ASAL and Regional Development. Former elgeyo marakwet  senator  Kipchumba Murkomen nominated as cabinet minister for Roads and Transport

At the same time Soipan Tuya to take up the Environment and Forestry cabinet  as Zacharia Mwangi Njeru to lead the Lands and Housing

President Ruto also appointed Harriet Chigai as the advisor on women’s rights, Monica Juma as National Security advisor and Justin Muturi as the Attorney General and Mercy Wanjau as the Secretary to the Cabinet.

He also announced that Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai had applied to proceed on terminal leave for the remaining six months of his remaining contract, due to health problems. The president further announced that the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti had handed in his resignation.
