Police in Canada have launched a manhunt for two men named Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson suspected of stabbing  to death at least 15 people.

The police say the suspects who are on the run are armed and dangerous.

This is after victims were found in 13 locations in the remote indigenous community James Smith Cree Nation and nearby Weldon.

The authorities say Damien, 31, and Myles, 30, who might be traveling in a black Nissan Rogue, might have switched vehicles.

They also asked residents of the neighboring provinces of Alberta and Manitoba to look out for the men.

Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau says this is one of the deadliest acts of mass violence Canada has seen.

“I am shocked and devastated by the horrific attacks today,” Mr Trudeau said in a statement. “Those responsible for today’s abhorrent attacks must be fully brought to justice.”
