CAF will on Thursday evening reveal the Africa player of the year winner in a gala to be held in Rabat Morocco .
Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah and Eduardo Mendy are in the final shortlist in the men’s category.
Mane goes in a strong favorite after leading Senegal to the AFCON crown and also guiding them to the world cup in Qatar.
In the women’s category, four-time winner Asisat Oshoala of Nigeria is in the hunt for a fifth crown . She will face challenge of Cameroonian Ajara Njoya and Grace Chanda of Zambia.
The national team of the year will have Senegal, Cameroon and Egypt.
