The FKF Caretaker Committee has submitted a report to sports cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed.
The committee has recommended the amendment of Football Kenya Federation Constitution, commercialization of sports and rehabilitation of facilities among other items. Amina says will the new constitution will be forwarded to FIFA.
Speaking at the Moi International Sports Center, Ambassador Mohammed praised the Caretaker Committee for being prompt and concluding the task on time.
The Caretaker committee was given the mandate by the Sports Cabinet Secretary to streamline the sport and organize for fresh elections.
CS Amina suspended FKF boss Nick Mwendwa, a move that made FIFA suspend Kenya football indefinitely.
Reports however indicate that a normalization committee is expected to be formed to make changes in the constitution before holding fresh elections.
The Committee that was headed by retired Justice (Rtd) Aaron Ringera had been tasked with laying the ground for fresh elections that will usher in a new office.
Part of the committee’s mandate was to bring all operations of the FKF in tandem with the Sports Act (2013).
The Cabinet Secretary will now make an announcement on the way forward on Thursday.
