President Uhuru Says His Administration Improved the Education Sector

President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed confidence in his administration, saying it has further developed the education sector, as compared with that of the previous government.

He lauded the budget allocation to the ministry saying it will improve infrastructure in schools across the country.

In matters CBC, the president noted that the roll-out of the curriculum is progressing well, even as schools reopen next week.

He spoke in Mombasa during the school heads conference.

“The CBC curriculum roll-out is on course; when schools re-open next week, we shall have more than 9 Million learners under CBC,” said President Uhuru.

“Mimi nimewasaidia, nimewaandika walimu, mshahara nikaongeza, insurance mnazo. Pigieni kelele wale ambao wanakuja lakini mimi nipigieni makofi kwa yale nimefanya.”

The president then praised the teachers’ efforts to teach children despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Present at the conference, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha commended President Uhuru’s leadership noting that it has greatly improved the Education Sector.

“Your excellency I would like to thank you, this year, we have a budget of 544 Billion Shillings.”
