State House spokesperson discusses President Kenyatta’s scorecard

State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena says President Kenyatta’s key focus in his second term has been the Big 4 Blueprint.

Speaking to a local media house, Dena says the president has delivered tremendous progress in the blueprint’s four pillars, food security; manufacturing; affordable housing; and Universal Health Coverage.

She however says, delays in delivery of Government programs are sometimes as a result of unforeseen setbacks.

Among them, Dena cites the Covid-19 pandemic, which led to the readjusting of Government priorities to fit the changing dynamics.

Additionally, she says the dynamics included rolling out incentives & subsidies to support the economy.

According to Dena, President Kenyatta has been instrumental in completing projects launched by his predecessors. It is now expected that ongoing projects will be completed in the next regime.

This they term a progressive and not a regime specific manager of ruling.

Despite cases of corruption in the nation, Dena says the president gets frustrated by the legal bottlenecks in the fight against corruption.

Additionally, Kanze says the Kenya has diligently serviced its debt obligations for which the country takes up for development purposes.
