Cliff Momanyi, the doctor who testified in the ongoing murder case against Migori Governor Okoth Obado has been found.

His family has reported the news after claims of his disappearance yesterday.

Mary Kimaiga, Momanyi’s wife, confirmed that he was safely back to Kisii.

Kimaiga said that her husband called her on Friday, March 25 morning to inform that he was safe and alive at an area called Gesonso in Kisii.

Momanyi had admitted to faking medical records for Okoth Obado’s personal assistant Michael Oyamo, on the day Rongo University student Sharon Otieno was killed.

According to the Kenya Union of Clinical Officers secretary-general Kisii branch Victor Bwanchete, efforts to trace their colleague had bore no fruits.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had launched investigations to establish his whereabouts.

Through his phone, he was last traced to a rough road around Bomet.

We traced our colleague’s phone through the DCI and it was last signaled around Bomet,” later said Bwanchete.

The union’s officials in Kisii called for speedy investigations into the matter.

However, Kisii county police commander Francis Kooli said no such complaint had been filed by anyone.

He promised to give a comprehensive report later.
