DP Ruto on a 3-day official visit to UK

Deputy President William Ruto is in London for the second leg of his 12-day US-UK foreign trip.

Ruto was received by officials led by Kenyan High Commissioner in London Ambassador Manoah Esipisu.

The DP will meet senior UK Government officials and engage the Kenyan Diaspora in the UK during his three-day stay.

Additionally, he will visit the national counterterrorism center, speak at the commonwealth secretariat and Royal institute of international affairs also known as the Chatham house.

According to the Chatham’s house itinerary, Kenya’s 2022 elections prospects and challenges for shared prosperity is the theme for today’s talk.

The invitation note says, the DP will discuss opportunities and the outlook for change arising from the August elections and share his vision.

Director of Communications Hussein Mohamed says Ruto’s delegation will also hold private bilateral consultations with the U.K government at both the Whitehall and Parliament.

Ruto is accompanied on the trip by ANC leader and fellow Kenya Kwanza principal, Musalia Mudavadi.

Despite the DP’s absence in the country, his troops have continued to echo his message asking president Uhuru Kenyatta to keep off the succession politics.
