Manchester City are 10 points clear after Chelsea came from two goals down to earn a draw with Liverpool at the Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool took the lead early on through Sadio Mane and a classic Mo salah goal. Chelsea however drew level before the break when Mateo Kovacic and Christian Pulisic scored in quick succession.
The other highlight of the tie Sadio Mane escaped a red card just after six seconds for a perceived face elbow on Cesar Azpilicueta.
On the blue side manager Thomas Tuchel left out striker Romelu Lukaku from the team after his controversial interview in December.
Chelsea remain second on the table with 43 points just one ahead of Liverpool who are on 42. Arsenal are third with 35 following their controversial defeat by Manchester City on new years day.
West ham are fifth with 34 points and the resurgent Tottenham close the European places on sixth with 33 points.
