Jambo jet has set a plan of selling at least 1,100 tickets at a discount. The jet liner says the new rate is a strategy that will entice more of their consumers to fly with the internal carrier.

The local carrier in partnership with its mobile payment aggregator-Cellulant has said in a statement released on Tuesday that the tickets will go at a discounted price of 1,000 Shillings for a one-way.

The promotion that will run as from November 16 to December 13 this year, is meant to woo their consumers into using their carrie ahead of the festive seasons.

This means that a Jambojet ticket for a route such as Mombasa that would ordinarily sell at 6,800 Shillings on a weekend will now cost 5,800 Shillings on the same route.

The bilateral partnership will see Jambojet reward 1,100 customers with discount vouchers worth Sh1, 000 each, while making a booking to any of its destinations, as part of the Now Travel Ready campaign that aims to encourage travel,” said the carrier in a statement Tuesday.

During the month-long campaign, the carrier is also set to give out 50 vouchers each weekday.

This comes even after the sector was hit-hard by the Covid-19 pandemic that saw their employees left with minimum travels across the country.
