Govt of Kenya Declares 11 October as public Holiday

The government has declared Monday October 11, 2021 as a public holiday.

The cabinet secretary of interior and coordination Fred Matiangi on Wednesday released the statement

This day becomes a public holiday on virtue that Utamaduni day, formerly known as Moi Day falls on Sunday.

As Utamaduni is termed, this will be the first time Kenya is celebrating this day, as is geared to identify, appreciate and confer with the diverse rich and cultural culture of both the Kenyan people and its heritage.
