Gusii Leaders push for regional Party ahead of 2022 polls

A section of gusii lawmakers and professionals convened for a joint party formation for the region. The Gusii national leaders said the proposed party will support the handshake between President Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Among the leaders present were Interior CS Fred Matangi, Solicitor general Ken Ogeto and transport chief administrative secretary Chris Obure. member of parliament Simba Arati, Joash Nyamoko, Richard Onyonka, Samuel, Ben Momanyi, Jimmy Angwenyi also attended the meeting.

The party whose details are yet to be made public ,is geared to unite the Gusii community especially the ones from the diaspora. Fred Matiangi stated that’s his motives lies in the middle of the handshake principals and that he will make public his political ambitions after consultation with his boss.

The leader are set to meet with the handshake principals before making other ulterior motives and announcements.

The meeting was held at Fred’s house in Kajiado County.
