Manchester united and Barcelona hit in Champions league openers

Manchester United suffred a 2-1 defeat in their opening champions league match after conceding  a dramatic stoppage-time goal to Young Boys.

Despite Cristiano Ronaldo scoring on his Champions League return for United , a red card to Aaron Wan Bissaka put the on the backfoot and Cameroon winger Moumi Ngamaleu equalized after the break.

95th-minute mistake by substitute Jesse Lingard – who had replaced Ronaldo allowed Jordan Siebatcheu to score the winner fo the Swiss side.

Bayern Munich inflicted another defeat to Barcelona in  a 3-0 win . Robert Lewandowsky scored twice after Muller had given the Bavarians the lead.

At Stamford bridge Romelu Lukaku ensured Chelsea started with a win scoring the only goal to edge Zenit St Peterburg 1-0.

Juventus beat Malmo 3-0 and  Villareal drew 2-2 with Atalanta. Sevilla and RB Salzburg shared the spoils in a one all draw.
