Tanzania’s turnaround in fighting COVID-19 under President Suluhu

Tanzania has now changed tune on how to handle the Corona Virus pandemic after a task force recommended a complete turnaround.

The  task force formed to review Covid-19 protocols in Tanzania has advised that the government should consider a mass vaccination programme against the pandemic.

The committee proposed that authorities should start vaccinating special groups such as medical practitioners, tourism workers and elderly people.

The health task force, formed by President Samia Suluhu Hassan has also advised the government to start making coronavirus information public.

The 14-member task force has drafted 19 recommendations, but assured that the vaccination is optional.

The team also advised the government to be well prepared for a third wave of the Pandemic.

The last time Tanzania issued Covid-19 statistics was almost a year ago.
