Rwanda president wants fair trial for Rusesabagina

Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame says he wants to see a fair trial for Paul Rusesabagina.

In an interview with a media source, the president warned against racist attitudes towards Rwanda’s judicial system.

He claims a need to see a fair trial.

Rusesabagina is accused of terror charges related to deadly attacks in Rwanda in 2018 and 2019 by the FLN.

The armed wing of the Rwandan Movement for Democratic Change (MRCD) and a coalition of opposition parties of which he is vice-president are also amongst the accusers

His lawyers have however denied the charges against him.

Adding that their client was illegally abducted in Dubai last August and flown to Rwanda
