At least 6 die in a suicide bombing in Mogadishu

A suicide bomber in Mogadishu, Somalia has killed at least 6 people.

Prior to the bombing, the bomber detonated Waberi District Police Station. In the incident, police commander Major Ahmed Abdullahi Bashane succumbed. Moreover, senior police officer, Major Abdibasid Mohamud Agey, also former deputy commander of Waliyow Adde Division of the Banadir Regional Police also succumbed to the bombing.

Somali Police Spokesman Major Sadiq Adan Ali Dodishe now says, those injured from the attack include senior police officers.

Although no one is claiming responsibility over the attack, the al-Qaeda-allied al-Shabab militants are known to be notorious of the attacks in Mogadishu and other parts of central and southern Somalia.
