Kenyans in the sporting fraternity have come out in support of the former Kenya sevens team coach Benjamin Ayimba as he continues to recover from Cerebral Malaria.
Current sevens coach Innocent Simiyu and captain Andrew Amonde wished him a quick recovery as they arrived from the Dubai invitational tournament.
Simiyu also known as Namcos added that Ayimba has done the country proud in the past and needed Kenyans to come out and support his recovery and the bills that come with it.
Amonde lauded the rugby tactician saying that he is confident that Ayimba will recover and get back to the game that he loves.
Ayimba was taken ill last week and has been admitted in hospital with family appealing for more financial help to settle the bill.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has already made his one million shillings contribution to the kitty and Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja holding a fundraiser at the weekend.
ODM leader Raila Odinga also visited Ayimba in hospital and made his contribution to the hospital bill .
Ayimba led the Kenya sevens to the first ever Olympics games in Brazil 2014 and also won the only sevens series leg in Singapore .
