Muguga ward MCA Eliud Ngugi Succumbs to COVID-19

Muguga ward MCA Eliud Ngugi has died, following Covid-19 complications.

He died while undergoing treatment the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital in Kiambu County this morning.

Reports say Ngugi had been battling the Covid-19 for a long time.

The MCA joins a list of several legislators who have succumbed to Covid-19 in the country.

His death comes a few weeks after the death of Juja MP Francis Waititu popularly known as Wakapee. His death also comes at a time when Kenya and the world have been warned of a third wave of the virus.

In recent weeks, the number of positive cases has been on the rise resulting in the extension of measures such as the dusk to dawn curfew, social distancing, and ban of political gathering in the country.
