The Morans won by half a basket of 74-73 points to register first ever win over Angola .
The Morans who are under the tutelage of Australian coach Liz Mills were a much improved side from the previous qualifier and despite losing to Senegal in the first tie of the qualifier on Friday.
Mills in an interview after the game hailed her side saying it was by hardwork and tactics from the players and technical bench that enabled them win against Angola.
The Morans finish the qualifiers against Mozambique on Sunday from 4 pm .
Senegal had earlier in the day beaten Mozambique 84-43 to boost their chances of qualifying top of the group.
Senegal play Angola on Sunday in the last group game.
Three teams from the group of four will qualify for the Africa showpiece to be staged later in the year.
