President Kenyatta tells off DP Ruto over wheelbarrow politics

Feb, 1st 2021 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has been at the famous Sagana state lodge, where he held a significant consultative meeting seeking to consolidate his restless, yet vote-rich support base, with a view to rally the region behind BBI, that has received support from the over 4,000 delegates who attended the meeting.

The visit, in what the State House said was an inspection tour of government projects, and meetings with elected leaders from the region, ended up as a series of backlash by leaders allied to the president.

Speaking to the youth from the Mt. kenya region, President Kenyatta ripped apart his deputy, William Ruto’s hustler narrative, and its signature too, the wheelbarrow.

Critical of the antiques deployed by his second in command, the president sought to turn the tide and undo DP Ruto’s impression in the region. He asked the youth to be aware of political leaders who are out to misuse them.

During the meeting, 10 county assemblies from Central Kenya vowed to pass the referendum Bill.
