Self proclaimed ruling United Democratic Alliance Secretary general Joe Khalenda has sustained deep head cut injuries following an exchange of blows with supporters of Cleophas Malala a day after he declared him persona non grata in the party.
Both UDA SG Cleophas Malala side and lawyer Khalenda sides stormed the party headquarters this afternoon sustaining their positions in the party.
Malala has since denounced Khalende’s statements accusing him of opposing the formation of the broad based government by President WIlliam Ruto and Azimio leader Raila Odinga and sabotaging grassroot elections in the party.
According to Malala, Khalende’s accusation are mere propaganda noting that he is still on course to support President Ruto to achieving the bottom up economic transformation agenda
On his part, Khalende who also claims to be the chairman of the founding members of UDA, has poked holes in his malala style of leadership adding that his dalliance with Tawe western leaders is not in line with the ruling UDA’s principles.
Malala supporters have since besieged the UDA offices located along Ngong chanting pro Malala slogans.
