Chaos erupted at the unveiling of the Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s party in Lavington when alleged goons stormed the event shortly after Gachagua had finalised his speech.
The rowdy goons moved in an apparent plan to disrupt the event but Police officers were on high alert and quickly intervened by shooting into the air to disperse the crowd.
The former DP’s fleet that was dashing out for safety was forced to temporarily stop as the police intensified their efforts to quell the chaos.
The former DP was unveiling his Democracy for Citizens party at the party headquarters in nairobi alongside his political allies where he made low punching salvos against the President William Ruto administration
He noted that his party has been forged on the backdrop of the need to provide better leadership for Kenyans and pull them out of the long-standing problems of poor governance.

Former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi has been named as the National Organizing Secretary, Former Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru as the National Women’s Leader and Former Limuru MP Peter Mwathi to be the Deputy Party chair of strategy.

Gachagua noted he will officially launch the party on June 4 ahead of his planned 2-year nationwide tour to woo Kenyans for his support and spread his popularity.
He has also urged all aspirants to start registering with the party.
