Kenya Airways has announced the resumption of flights to and from Eldoret, after a 10-year break
The carrier that stopped operating on the Nairobi-Eldoret route in 2014 said flights to the destination will operate five times per week giving customers another option to fly to the destination.
The re-introduction of flights by the airline on the route is part of the bigger plan by the carrier to expand its wings across its network post Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.
While flagging off the resumption of the flights, Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen noted that Eldoret will be KQ’s 44th destination.
“This morning, I had the honour of presiding over the resumption of Kenya Airways (KQ) flights to Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, after a 10-year break. This marks the fifth new domestic destination and county the government has opened up to aviation transport in the past year,” he said.
“The Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) aims to connect all parts of Kenya and enable efficient movement of goods and people through different modes of transportation.”
