Japan down scales Tsunami warning after a 7.6 magnitude quake

 Japan’s meteorological agency has downgraded its tsunami warnings along the Sea of Japan to “advisories’ ‘ after it had warned of waves up to 3 meters.

In  a development, the met agency says that the waves expected are one meter or less high.

One person has been reported killed after a building in Shika town collapsed, while Japan’s National Police Agency says two The alert was released following  a powerful earth quake that has so far claimed the life of one  in Ishikawa prefecture after he suffered cardiac arrests 

Official also report that Several people have been injured in Ishikawa, Niigata and Fukui prefectures, and the fire departments in the cities of Wajima and Suza have received reports of people buried under rubble as well as collapsed buildings

The earthquake caused damages with More than 30,000 households around the epicenter going without power while others seek shelter in community facilities.

However, the agency says people should remain alert for more possible earthquakes
