Manchester United has in a statement this evening said it acknowledges the allegations made against forward Antony and now await findings by the Police who are conducting enquiries.
United say the club will not make any comments adding that it is privy to the weight of the matter.
The Brazilian winger is accused of assaulting his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin on Monday.
The ex-girlfriend’s report contains accusations of assault, bodily harm and threatening behavior by the star.
The Brazilian national team have dropped Antony from their squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru over the next 10 days replacing him with Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus.
This comes after the club was recently dragged in the mud by another player, Mason Greenwood, accused of assault on his lover in October 2022 forcing them to part ways with the said player.
