Morans headcoach names 12 man squad for the Fiba Afrocan tournament

The Kenya Basketball National Team “Morans” finalized their preparation ahead of the  FIBA AFRO-CAN tournament in Angola later this month beating the Nairobi select team 85-62.

The exhibition game played at the Nyayo gymnasium saw coach Cliff Oduor parade pro-players Bush Wamukota, Derrick Ogechi, Bramwel Michina and Fidel Okoth who will lead the lines in Angola.

In the game, Coach Cliffe Owuor had the luxury of rotating his squad as he aims to “gelling” the team together as they now shift to residential training at the MISC Kasarani gymnasium for the final few days before their departure to Luanda, Angola.
“I am happy that the team is playing as per instructions and we can only get better in the coming days before we depart for Angola” stated Coach Cliffe while speaking to the Bball Kenya correspondent after the game.

Kenya are the favourites in this year’s extravaganza, aiming to go a step higher and win it all having lost narrowly to DRC in the finals of the last edition of Afrocan held in 2019.

Moran’s are in a relatively easy pool A alongside minnows Gabon and a very weak and beatable Cote d’Ivoire team.

The team will be in camp training at Kasarani before departing for Luanda.
