England stares at Euro 2024 as Saka widen gap in Group C

Bukayo Saka scored a hat-trick as England continued their impressive march towards Euro 2024 with a 7-0 thrashing of North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday.

Saka has become an indispensable part of Gareth Southgate’s side since starring at the World Cup and took his tally to seven goals in his last eight internationals to round off a brilliant season for the Arsenal winger.

It soon became the Saka show, with the Arsenal star netting two fantastic finishes inside the first 10 minutes of the second-half to register the first hat-trick of what is already a stellar career

It was a night of firsts, as Kalvin Phillips bagged the first goal of his international career to make it 6-0 to Gareth Southgate’s side.

Kane managed to get a second from the penalty spot to net England’s seventh before he was withdrawn in place of Callum Wilson.

England now moves six points clear of Ukraine at the top of Group C, and nine clear of Italy who have two games in hand, with the top two set to qualify.
