Meru MCAs have resolved to impeach governor Kawira Mwangaza in a vote that saw 67 MCAs out of 69 in favor of the ouster motion.
This is after the MCAs re-initiated another impeachment motion against Mwangaza following the move by Justice Wamae Cherere of the Meru court to stop her first impeachment motion.
The MCAs have accused governor Mwangaza over alleged gross misconduct and nepotism among others.
Meanwhile, Governor Kawira through her lawyer warned the assembly speaker against proceeding with impeachment motion despite court order, noting that is contempt of court.
